Located in simply modest rented office space in Yishun, Chee Yam Contractor (Sole-Proprietorship) was founded back in 1983. As a sub-contractor, it was involved in projects such as construction of Pedestrian Overhead Bridge in Toa Payoh Lorong 1 and the construction of then Toa Payoh Interchange. Chee Yam Contractor Pte Ltd was later incorporated on 18th May 1988 as a construction and civil engineering company.
Led by Mr. Ang Chee Yam JP BBM, Chee Yam Contractor Pte Ltd has successfully constructed more than 200 construction and infrastructure-related projects in Singapore over the last 30 years, therefore creating its specialty in the construction of Pedestrian Overhead Bridges and A&A works at major MRT & LRT stations. Chee Yam Contractor is registered with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) as a B1 Civil Engineering contracting firm.
Today, Chee Yam Contractor is evolving into the fastest growing civil engineering construction company in Singapore. Chee Yam Contractor is also a proud recipient of the Successful Entreprenuer 2010 Platinum Award.
